Instagram Bio Fonts

How to use Instagram bio fonts without making your profile hard to read

Instagram does not let you install custom fonts inside your bio. The “fonts” you see in aesthetic profiles are usually Unicode characters that look like bold, script, monospace, circled, or small-cap letters. Because they are characters, not font files, you can copy and paste them into many social apps.

Use decorative fonts for emphasis, not every word

A bio has to work quickly. Visitors scan your name, role, location, link, and call to action in a few seconds. If every letter is heavily styled, the bio can become slower to read and less accessible. A better approach is to style one short phrase, a keyword, or a headline, then keep the rest plain.

Check line breaks before you paste

Unicode letters can be wider than normal letters, especially fullwidth, bold, circled, and emoji-like styles. This means a sentence that looks short in a text editor may wrap into extra lines on a phone. BioType's Instagram preview helps you catch overflow before you update your real profile.

Accessibility note

Some screen readers may pronounce styled Unicode letters one character at a time. If accessibility matters for your audience, use Unicode fonts sparingly and keep essential information in normal text.
